Crispy Black Bean Tacos Recipe

Ingredient :

  • 1 can Ortega Black Beans
  • 1/2 cup of salsa
  • 1 packet of Ortega Taco Seasoning
  • 1 Ortega Grande Taco Kit
  • Ortega Chipotle Aioli (optional dipping sauce)
  • Chopped cilantro (optional topping)

Direction :

  1. Remove soft taco shells from the Ortega Grande Taco Kit and save hard taco shells for another time.
  2. In a large non-stick pan over medium high heat, add black beans, salsa and taco seasoning and cook until the beans have softened, about 5-7 mins.
  3. Once softened, roughly mash bean mixture until beans turn into a paste-like consistency.
  4. Remove bean mixture from pan, wipe out pan and return to heat with butter or oil. Using 1-2 spoonfuls, spread beans on one side of a tortilla. Fold tortillas in half and toast both sides in the pan over medium heat.
  5. Serve with Ortega Chipotle Aioli, chopped cilantro or your favorite toppings.
